KühlTherm launches in India with RDHx and CDU products, targeting 2 GW manufacturing capacity by 2027

Ahmedabad-based KühlTherm launched on 7 August 2026 with a suite of liquid cooling hardware for AI data centres and the opening of what it describes as India's first integrated liquid cooling validation laboratory[1]. The company raised $1.1 million in seed funding, led by Bengaluru-based Arkam Ventures[1], and says it intends to scale manufacturing capacity from 300 MW to 2 GW by 2027[1].

The product line

KühlTherm's initial hardware covers three categories:

  • Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx): capture heat at the rear of the rack before it enters the facility, scaling from 20 kW to 100 kW per door[1]
  • Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs): in-rack and in-row units handling coolant flow, temperature control, and pressure management, scaling from 250 kW to 1.5 MW[1]
  • Cold plant: a supplementary unit offering 300 W to 2.5 kW of cooling capacity[1]

All three are designed to integrate with NexusFlow OS, a proprietary software platform the company describes as connecting power infrastructure from grid to rack and cooling infrastructure from chip to chiller, with predictive optimisation and autonomous orchestration[1].

Founders and funding

KühlTherm's founding team, including CEO Shailesh Bishnoi, previously worked at Ola Electric, the Indian electric vehicle company known for its scooters, bikes, and home battery systems[1]. The thermal management discipline that underpins liquid cooling - managing heat transfer across high-power-density systems - overlaps substantially with EV battery engineering, where cell-level thermal control is a core design constraint.
